Mission CODECS Foundation’s MISSION is to create, develop and consolidate the organizational culture of leadership in Romania, by fostering the emergence of new generations of leaders capable to put to work effective change management mechanisms, based on professional excellence, knowledge, influence and newtorking.
Objectives 1. To consolidate leadership education in Romania , especially for young people (age group 12-25 years old), through educational programs shaped to meet the specific needs for personal development of these ages 2. To develop in an accelerated way the civic dimension of leadership , through training modules aimed at supporting a more effective dialogue between school, community and family, with mutual benefits for akll those involved in creating a high quality, young human resource 3. To promote the strategic project “SCHOOL – THE REAL THING” , using the accumulated experience and expertise to transform the current school system in Romania (www.lmt.ro/scoala/scoala.html)

Main projects: 1. “LEADERS OF THE THIRD MILLENIUM” ® (february 2002 onward) – a leadership educational program offered to young people in Romania ( www.lmt.ro ). Program’s VISION: to generate a harmonious and pragmatic educational model, aimed at creating new generations of leaders in Romania, at a high level of academic excellence and professional competency. Program’s OBJECTIVES: to provide students with leaderhsip education, through a program structured in 8 modules (civic leadership; communication; teamwork; emotional intelligence; negotiation; leadership; change management; to create volunteering, jobs, and networking opportunities for LTM graduates; to provide values-based character development education for secondary school students; to provide teachers with professional development opportunities as LTM trainers; to provide the pre-university schools system with a model for good practice in education. Program’s ACTIONS: Leadership modules offered on a school-term basis; LTM events (Romanian Presidency; Romanian Parliament; Open Day); partnerships with the Ministry of Education to develop a civic leadership curriculum (lessons written for the 11 th grade handbook in education for demicratic citizenship); train the trainers seminars (trainers – young and adults; assitant-trainers – high school students; teachers-trainers 2. “THE FORCE OF THOUGHT, THE POWER OF THE WORD” – editorial program, to translate and disseminate leadership literature ( http://www.lmt.ro/carti/carti.html ) 3. “CAP & GOWN” – leadership case studies program, to write relevant cases to be used in leadership training and consulting
Purpose it intends to use the money 1. To expand our educational portfolio with outdoor programs offered to students during weekends and hollidays 2. To consolidate the presence of LTM Program in schools through partial/full scholarships, thus supporting the participation of an increased of students with less financial possibilities or belonging to regions with a lower level of economic development 3. For the accelerated development of the civic leadership component of the LTM Program, fostering the spread of free of charge training modules aimed at supporting a better dialogue between school, community and family, with a mutual gain for all actors.
