In 2008 IRSCA Gifted Education launched the project of the first CENTER for Gifted Education – Kindergarten and After School to support gifted children. It is a highly important project with a large international visibility.

Programs
1. Training program in gifted education for professors

This program is tailored to professors that will obtain a specialization in gifted education. The curricula is made up of online and in-class courses drawn from the international experience in the field. Some study tracks are: the history of the education of gifted children and the different views on this subject in different periods of time, the psychology of gifted students, multiple intelligence, types of psychological testing, the characteristics of giftedness, methodologies of training and styles of learning, creativity, administration and training management for gifted children, financing the education of gifted and talented as well as fundraising techniques and methods, practical organizational methods for accelerated learning and tunneling, and many others.

2. Training program in gifted education for psychologists

This program is made up of advanced courses tailored to psychologists who seek to specialize in gifted education in one or several directions such as: characteristics of giftedness and directions of development and emergence, the amplitude of giftedness and particularities of giftedness on different levels, testing giftedness with assessments and examinations, how to construct and make valid testing tools on giftedness and their cultural limits, techniques of learning specific to each category of giftedness, pedagogic psychology, cognitive psychology, accelerated learning and giftedness and many others.

3. Training programs of gifted and talented students in their final years with the university in fields of tremendous potential and interest

This program is made up of online and in-class courses on themes and research areas associated with those special development directions. The courses contain introductions to novel technologies, news and breakthroughs in the field, advanced knowledge in the field, resources management, management and leadership, as well as other subjects. All these directions of study are oriented towards shaping specialists of a high level of professionalism, capable of becoming leaders able to identify and trigger new developments and also, experts with a high technical and scientific expertise in the field of interest.

4. Construction plan for a pilot campus dedicated to gifted education on top performance fields of development

This project refers to an architectural project of a multifunctional campus. This campus shall be set up to answer the educational needs of gifted children and pursue the specific goals associated with gifted education in Romania. Additionally, several other activities shall be performed: capital venturing for the construction project as well as for its well-functioning, the selection and specialization of professors in gifted education and the spreading of the word and selection of children with high potential, attraction of local community support and occasional or permanent financial supporters, p
